Guerilla art is about putting art where the artist thinks it belongs and is often site specific. I have shown art in a guerrilla fashion both with the permission of stores and restaurants and without in outdoor settings. I enjoy acting outside of the art market and its rules of commerce and art commentary.
Past Projects:
- 1981 Installation of a poem called “What You Don’t know” imprinted on a metal plaque and attached to a bridge railing
- 1985 Watercolors mounted over existing aisle signs in the Grand Union Supermarket
- 1997 “This Year’s Summation” installed in Woodstock, NY area restaurant bathrooms next to paper towel holders.
- 2005 Snowfence art fastened to snow fencing at public beaches in Amagansett and Montauk, NY
If you would like to include some site-specific art for a public or private function, please contact me.
